New beginnings

Happy 2014! I told myself I want this year to be different.... not like it's not going to be with university and all. I want to accomplish more things this year and really seize the last year of my youth before I turn the big two-o. I really hope that by the end of this year I will be able to travel much more on my own / with friends to explore like I have always wanted. I am also making plans to learn driving and maybe, just maybe, get a license before 2015 because if I don't do it now, I doubt I will ever have much time to do so. I shall stop myself here with 2 goals for 2014 because I can get carried away and the possibility of fulfilling new years resolutions is kind of slim (impossible) to begin with hahaha. So here's how January was.... (very overdue post):

After working till after midnight on 31st and having supper after that with my dad :)
Claypot Fun- yummy har jeong kai and claypot
Calvin the panda, my new pet sitting on my shelf now hahahaha. Don't look down on this miniature panda, it was difficult to build him cause the pieces were so darn small I was straining my eyes.
My last event done during my internship, running the thing like a boss 8D Hahaha I kid. I am so happy for the past 5 months which was a really enriching experience, I did really feel like I grew older but I am proud of myself for what I have accomplished here.
Phoenix LIVE! in SG, first concert of 2014 and I was so impressed and blown away
Sunday dinners with my family <3
Sunday brunch @ Suprette with CS, it has been so long since we did this but feels really nice chilling and eating good food
PAUL with V, my creampuff ;)
The yearly lunar new year eve tradition
Meet the Yippies (HAHA, geddit?) minus my bro :(

Anything Could Happen

I was doing my project work when I stumbled upon many accommodation properties like hotels and lodges that are so ingenius and incredible. I would want to try living in such hotels if I ever travel to those regions. These hotels are way cooler than those I've been to or know of. Legit. I would definitely regret not going to such places if the world ends this december.

Hotel FOX, boutique hotel in Denmark
#409 Heidi
Who wouldn't want to sleep in this room? Feels so homey and comfortable.
#106 Sleep Well

TuboHotel
It's so eco-friendly and pretty at the same time! The concrete tubes are recycled to make into rooms. Imagine sleeping in a tube, how cool is that?!?!

Propeller Island City Lodge, Berlin Germany
Sleeping in a room full of mirrors......... or in a coffin, so spooky but definitely interesting

Ok back to reality, back to work *sigh* :'(

To the island of peace

DAY 1:
Ready for the 2.5 hour flight with Mumford & Sons
Felt like I came to a luxurious house, the first 30 words I said when I entered was probably "omg omg omg omg omg...."
Kuta Beach, just to walk around cause we forgot to bring our bathing suits along

Walking down the streets for some shopping- honestly, the only place where we bought clothes at reasonable price (after bargaining)
Back at the beach to catch the sunset
Dinner (meh)
The cute dog I wanted to feed at the beach (while waiting for our driver) but had no food with me. Kept talking to it and apologising for having no food on me cause it looked at me with those pathetic eyes

 DAY 2:
Ordered room service because we were starting the day early

Monkey Zoo

Shopping at a local market- pretty array of boxes and such

Lunch: Babi Guiling
Chilling at a cafe with the view of the padi field
So adorable, had to get one and it's hanging on my mirror now hehe o^_^o

THIS IS LEGIT. The owner of the car even let us take a photo in it and I got to sit in the driver's seat ok!
The luwak cat! They actually make it eat coffee beans and take the coffee beans from it's poop to make the coffee (in a very sanitary way so... its not as bad as it sounds)
At this farm where they specialise in different types of coffee, I swear I tried like 12 different types and majority tasted sogoddamn good!
Dinner @ Dirty Duck: Mixed Satay Platter (tastes like otah imo), Crispy Duck (SEX *_*), Calamari

Foodgasm: Russian Pie- so sinful but so good I finished most of it. By far the best meal I had in Bali

DAY 3:
Started the day off with water rafting which was such an awesome experience and the highlight of the whole trip. Our guide was so kind to let us out of the boat to drift/swim in the waters and rocky areas, when other guides did not let the other tourists do the same. Really felt like I could be flung out of the boat sometimes, but such an adventurous experience, wished it was more hardcore though. The water rafting experience danger level here: low. Spent 2 hours rowing a 10km long route. A good first experience of water rafting :)
Chilling with coconuts and sweet potatoes
Watching the sunset at Tanah Lot
Dinner: free flow salad, prawns, tandoori chicken, pork chop, fish (not in the picture)

DAY 4:
Breakfast at the villa
How petrol is kept here. We initially thought they were really vodka but expired thus the colour.
 Flight back to Singapore
